Architectural Visualisation demo developed in 2016 in Unity for VR.
The demo allowed you to interact with various objects, change the color of the walls, carpets, floor, etc. The main idea was to let the user experience on how his house might look.
Interaction was done using Playmaker. Here is how the Pickup Player FSM looked:
When we added the day & night cycle we could really see the beautiful light appearing on the window. We even made the posibility of opening/closing the courtains, and you could really see the room getting brighter/darker. Also, when the night comes everything goes dark gradually really setting a good vibe across the room. Then we implemented the ability to open the lights… and when it got to dark you could walk to the light switch, press a button and BAM! it was light in the room again.
Overall this was a pretty fun experience. It’s really nice to look at a model of a real life object and see how you can make it interactible. It starts from a boring model to a model that can do stuff.
